Marck Biosciences launched Paracetamol IV in plastic pack manufactured using BFS technology. Marck has already received the necessary approvals for its Paracetamol IV and is manufactured at the company’s manufacturing facility at Kheda in Gujarat, India. Due to the challenge of developing a formulation that is stable in plastic, Paracetamol I.V. has not been so far available in plastic pack using BFS, the latest sterile technology. Marck’s formulation and development team has been working on preparing and studying different formulations of Paracetamol I.V. for the past three years to come up with Paracetamol I.V. in plastic pack. Marck has begun exporting Paracetamol IV to West Africa markets. The company is in the process of registering the product in other markets. Marck will shortly be launching Paracetamol IV in India. Paracetamol IV is a ready to infuse dosage form of Paracetamol (in 10 mg/ml solution) and is indicated for the short-term treatment of moderate pain, especially following surgery and for the short-term treatment of fever urgently when other routes of administration are not possible.
